Tachikoma Interstitial Animation

This blog has obviously been neglected, but that will hopefully change as I post my first 3D animated short! It is a 10 second interstitial project for the Computer Animation program at Sheridan College.

The robot is called a 'Tachikoma' from the anime TV series, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

Well I thought I'd post something before we call it a year. Since my last post, I've been pretty busy at work designing websites and modeling concepts for a bunch of clients and friends, though my post count would indicate otherwise. Not until they are given approval will I be able to post some of the work.

Starting January, I will be attending Sheridan College doing Computer Animation, which will hopefully open more doors career wise. I wasn't sure if I made the right decision, but watching Avatar made it the obvious choice.

In the meantime, I should at least post something worthwhile so here is a Christmas card I was asked to create. The goal was to be funny but politically correct.

Fan Expo

What's the point of a blog if you're not going to post?? Well part of it is due to confidentiality agreements and a little procrastination... a lot of procrastination. So until I get the go ahead from my jobs and work on more personal pieces, I'll post some pics of my time at Fan Expo, there to support fellow Sheridan graduates who were part of Artist's Alley.

They really need to improve the layout of this place.

Yay, an out of date trailer and design that's probably not gonna be in the movie.

Checkov, Lando Calrissian and Sarah Connor were also there.

To kick off the start of my blog, the graduating Illustration class of 2009 from Sheridan College (including yours truly) are featured in the August issue of Applied Arts magazine. Many thanks to faculty, the Illustration council and Rethink Communications for making this possible.
